how old do you think this new friend is? The clay looks very interesting. What a beauty!
Tell us about the pot. How did it acquire the sheen?
I don’t know how old — Qing, I hope? Construction wise it looks old school. The clay is indeed quite unique — very shiny, very fine, high density, I think, with a deep brown hue. I ought to take better pictures of it.
The sheen is there when I got it.
