A tea meeting in New England?

January 30, 2011 · 9 Comments

I know there are plenty of tea drinkers in New England, more specifically in the greater Boston/Massachusetts region.  Is there any interest, anywhere, for a meeting of some sort?  I have been thinking that perhaps that would be a useful and interesting thing to do, if we can find the time and, more importantly, space for such a meeting.  Is there any interest?

I am about 2 hours away straight west of Boston on I-90. I can host it if traveling is possible for other people. We have a very small apartment but we manage to run big parties from time to time.

Also this is a little far away into the future – I may have to stay in Boston in the coming July. If that happens, I may have a private apartment there to host a gathering.

I also sent an email to your hotmail address 😀

Yeah, this is a difficult question — not sure how the location thing is going to work. I guess we’ll see if anyone else is interested in meeting up — and then we can figure out where to go from there.

I would be interested, if it wasn’t too far away. I also know of another person who might be interested.

So that makes…..3 plus me, maybe?

I’m about 2.5 hours north of Boston. Maybe we can meet in Boston somewhere?

I’m all in favor of enhancing the level of tea culture in old New England. If a suitable private space is not always available, a congenial restaurant owner like Otto might lend a back room in return for food service and a share in the liquid assets.

Having recently relocated somewhat east of the Wachusett Reservoir (the hole left behind when aliens abducted the land to make Grand Cayman), I will also be happy to host any who do not mind squatting in a flying squirrel-infested, earthen-floored shack with background music supplied by owls and coyotes. Details and GPS coordinates supplied off-line.

I meant to reply to this sooner, have just been busy with work. I’m definitely up for a gathering in New England. It’s very easy for me to catch a train into the Boston area from Rhode Island. Regardless, I’d love to meet some of my favorite New England internet tea personalities.

This sounds like fun. I live in Portland and I would love to connect with the tea community of New England, if there is such a thing:)
