Well…. teas today consisted of bad sencha at a Japanese restaurant, and then I drank the Lapsang Souchong I got in Beijing here.Â The bad sencha was bad because it was kind of stale.
The Lapsang Souchong is this:
I like it because it’s very smooth.Â There’s the smoke smell/taste, but there’s also a nice, smooth, rich red tea flavour to it.Â It’s sweet…. got a good huigan, and not astringent or bitter.Â I rarely like red teas, but this is something that I actually find myself enjoying quiteÂ a bit.
And it doesn’t hurt that it’s dirt cheap. 🙂
